Hey, I know y’all been waitin 4 these pics of tha EM concert in tha D, so here they R! Tha concert was 7/13 and believe me, it was worth every cent. I got 2 Ford Field w/my friend, Glor, at 5pm-which was pretty late cuz we had read tha paper about people lining up at 7am. LoL So yeah, we got there just in time 2 get in2 tha gate w/tha floor seats closest 2 tha stage. Some of those people had been waitin there since tha early mornin and had 2 throw away tha blanket they were sleepin on! LoL Anyways, we got our wristbands, got searched (I had 2 hide my camera) and rushed 2 tha floor (we just followed a grip of other people cuz I had no idea where I was goin. lol). We eventually made our way 2 tha front of tha crowd and were about 4 people away from the front gate; we were pretty damn close! We met some people from MI and some crazy fools from NY who kept makin me laugh b4 tha show started. Every1 was surprised when I told them I was from Cali. LoL I didn’t meet any1 from tha D exactly, so it was pretty crazy that people traveled so far just 2 C EM. After standing there 4 about an hour and a ½, tha lights went off and Missy started off her show w/ “She’s a Bitch.” Her performance was pretty tight-even though it was short. She did “Get Ur Freak On,” Gossip Folks,” “Work It,” and “Slide.” She was kool enough 2 autograph a shoe and throw it out in2 tha audience. She freakin walked through tha pit and performed 4 tha seating sections who couldn’t C her that well! Monica came out right after 4 a surprise performance of “So Gone.” Missy did a tribute 2 Aaliyah and then she was out.
While tha crew was settin up 50’s set up, Marquise (50’s son) came out to tha left side of tha stage w/Sway from MTV. Marquise was so cute w/his lil sweatband and jersey! He was puttin his hands in tha air tryin 2 get a reaction from tha crowd. LoL Finally tha curtains go up and 50’s NY skyline appears while Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” plays. Eventually he runs out 2 tha stage rappin “Wut Up Gangsta.” he did a lot of songs off of Get Rich Or Die Tryin including “Many Men,” “Back Down,” “P.I.M.P.,” “21 Questions,” & “In Da Club.” He even did “Magic Stick,” “Realest Killaz,” & tha “Work It” remix, so U know I wasn’t complainin! We were so close and I was all hyped! Tha crowd was kinda wack near me cuz they was pretty much there 2 C EM and didn’t seem 2 know 50 that well. 50 did a lot of changes and threw his jerseys out in2 tha pit. People was fightin over his shit! LoL It was pretty funny seein that. At tha end, Marquise came out like he owned tha place and said sup 2 tha crowd HaHa…
After 50’s intermission, tha curtains go up revealing EM’s Anger Management set up w/tha ferris wheel and whatnot. A video clip of EM talkin 2 tha mayor of Detroit on tha phone starts playin. EM tells him 2 hold on a second and then dangles a toy doll out tha window-it was a clip of tha stunt he did in Europe makin fun of Michael Jackson. LoL After telling tha mayor he’s gonna B doin shows in Detroit, EM and Proof start stressin about bein late 2 tha show. All of a sudden Kid Rock shows up in a black Shady Records Hummer and takes off 2 tha concert drinkin a beer. They race through Detroit, arrive 2 tha show, and pull up in tha hummer near tha floor seats. EM gets out and makes his way 2 tha stage screamin, “People it feels so gooood 2 B baaaaaaaaack!!” as he started “Squaredance.” Man, it was crazy! EM’s performance was-like alwayz-dope as hell! This show had 2 B his best performance wise. I mean shit, EM coulda done a 1/2 ass job and got a grip of $, but he always takes it over tha top and gives U his all. He was up there 4 a kool minute, and when he did his verse from “Dead Wrong” I was screamin along. LoL I kept doin that tha whole show, but I got even more crazy durin “Patiently Waitin,” “Lose Yourself,” and “Bodyguard (Shit Hits the Fan).” Obie came out 2 do “Rap Name” and “Adrenaline Rush” after D-12 did their thing. I don’t think I’d ever seen EM on tha stage so long since tha PPV concert in 2001. EM HaD 2 B tired after his encore of “My Dad’s Gone Crazy” cuz my throat hurt and I was worn out after he left. Ohh well, I had 2 force myself 2 keep movin so that I could walk 2 tha D-12 afterparty! Lol Aiight, well if U wanna check out tha songs EM performed, here they R:
